Town of Cats

Kuching, also known as a town of cat.
It’s my first time to go to kuching and i had spent 4 days there, 2 for personal trip and 2 for business trip.
for my own personal trip, i had myself settle at Bed’s guesthouse. It is really a very nice place to stay as it`s cheap but clean. I spent total only RM25 per day for a 8 person dorm. But guess what? i’m actually own the whole room as no others guest are there to stay. So lucky u could say ^^

the guesthouse also provided the locker and the towel for me. the locker is come with the lock and it can fix in a labtop. It was really nice.
well i got no time to waste! i’m quickly get ready my bag with necessaries and go to the counter to ask for the direction. settle my mind to go to the sunday market, the biggest market in town, which open at saturday morning until sunday afternoon (heard also open at night!) and going out to the nearest pick up spot waiting for the van. *normally the resident here are prefer to use the local van, instead of the public bus to travel from one place to another.
i been waiting there for around 15 mins but no van or bus passed by. because of first time to wait for the public transport and not familiar with the area, i go ask another woman there also waiting van with her both kids. Guess what? that woman are actually feeding her kid in arms (think less then 3 months old) with her breast! erm…it does weird to see such thing in town right…?
after another 15 mis, then a van stopped in front of us. Then woman and her child go in first into the van and then me. It just a simple van that we all normally seen crawling on the streets. the price to the destination (sunday market) only cost me RM1.
The thing is that i dont know where the hell is sunday market…i ask them where the market is, and then tell me to stop at 1 point where they`ll drop. only refer to the map and i realize that i`m still in the middle way to the sunday market…it`s 12pm+ now and should have some food.
One of the famous food at Kuchng, Call Kan Lao Mee. Taste good if you found a famous shop.

After lunch, let walk to sunday market by referring the maps. On the way i passed by the kuching museum and i drop in having some glance. yeah, not too bad yet far from good, the museum does demonstrating some historical textile, cultural and animals bout the city, but it is not bad since it`s free ^^ (sorry to be stingy…)
Here some pics at the museum, nothing much..

After the sunday market finally dropped in to the sunday market after bout 15 mins walking. The sunday market is relatively huge compare to any normal market and according to the locals, it open from friday everning to sunday afternoon. It does sell variety of things here as a market, from seafood, meat, vegetables, fruits, clothes, plants, pets, food, drinks to home decoration. The prices? i didnt know….

Caught her sleeping ^^

it`s time to back to the city itself. walking towards waterfront itself will took me 20mins. how does it look like? just some old building for me…

There are not much nightlife at kuching, especially going there alone is not fun…so i decide to grab a movie at Crowne plaza. It`s a Malaysian-made movie call “初恋红豆冰“. Had you ever had a movie by only having 3 people in the cinema? That`s me! only me and 2 local were watching that movie at that time. That`s quite an experience..
Let`s call it a day!
